The Battle of Glorieta Pass, also known as the Gettysburg of the West, began which pitted Union troops from Colorado against Confederate troops from Texas.The battle took place south of Santa Fe, New Mexico. The Union troops from Colorado were able to turn back the Confederate invasion.
