Brooklyn Dodgers catcher Mickey Owens became the first Major League Baseball player to catch 3 foul pop-ups in one inning (3rd) against the New York Giants. Brooklyn beat New York, 11-6.  The game was played at Ebbets Field in Brooklyn, New York City.
