China’s Chang’e-6 lunar module launched aboard a Long March 5 rocket off of a pad at the Wenchang Space Launch Site, in southern China’s Hainan province. The Chang’e-6 spacecraft landed on the far side of the Moon and scooped up 4.4 pounds of lunar material. It returned to Earth and touched down in China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on June 25, 2024.
