Cornelius “Neal” Ball, shortstop for the Cleveland Naps (later renamed the Indians), executed the first unassisted triple play in Major League Baseball history against the Boston Red Sox.  The Boston Red Sox beat the Cleveland Naps, 3-2, at League Park 1 in Cleveland, Ohio.
