The Fantasy Fair and Magic Mountain Music Festival, held at Mount Tamalpais in Marin County, California, was the first hippie style rock festival to take place. A few of the bands that performed were The Grass Roots, Jefferson Airplane, the Doors and Country Joe and the Fish.
