Wilt Chamberlain signed with the San Diego Conquistadors in the American Basketball Association as a player and a coach. The Los Angeles Lakers, Wilt Chamberlain’s previous team, went to court and won a settlement. Wilt Chamberlain was not allowed to play for the San Diego Conquistadors but was allowed to coach the team.
